Legislative Decree 4 August 2016 no.169, entitled

"Reorganisation, rationalisation and simplification of the regulations concerning the Port Authorities referred to in Law no. 84 of 28 January 1994, in implementation of Article 8, paragraph 1, letter f), of Law no. 124 of 7 August 2015" in Article 18 provided for the establishment of the Single Administrative Desk (SUA) operating at the Port Authority. 

According to the provisions of the aforementioned article, the SUA "performs a single front office function with respect to the entities responsible for operating in the port": it is, in fact, an office of the Port System Authority (AdSP) which represents the point of reference for all administrative and authorisation procedures concerning economic activities.
