One-stop shops

Start a business – SUAP

Before starting a business, a company must contact the relevant local authorities to carry out the required notifications and, when necessary, obtain the necessary permits.

All administrative tasks related to starting and running a business can be handled through the One-stop shop (SUAP) (SUAP), which serves as the single point of reference for companies and freelancers.

By accessing the One-stop shop (SUAP) desk, for which providing your Italian Tax Code is essential, companies and freelancers can electronically complete all necessary procedures and, in particular, submit declarations, documents, applications, and requests for authorization.

To get detailed information and complete the required procedures, type the name of the Municipality where the business will be established in the field below.

First contact

First contact - information service for cross-border entrepreneurs who want to contact the municipal SUAP offices

Service providers and companies established in a European Union country can request information directly from the One-stop shop (SUAP) only in digital form.

In the request, you need to provide personal details, including your Italian tax code, describe the economic activity you plan to carry out, and include your professional qualification details if it's a regulated activity. You can also, but it's not mandatory, attach supporting documents and indicate any other permits you already have.

The SUAP’s response will be sent directly to the email address you provided.

NOTE: Note: The service is available in 4,128 Italian municipalities (out of a total of 7,896) that use the SUAP digital platform provided by the Italian Chambers of Commerce. The other SUAP offices can be contacted according to the methods indicated on their respective websites.
