This system allows management of data relating to companies choosing to participate in the Nutrinform Battery scheme, as well as data regarding the product sectors on which the Nutrinform Battery logo will be applied. It is a nutritional labelling system for food products, created to facilitate informed choices and to provide consumers with a quick and clear method of understanding the nutritional characteristics of food items.
The regulation concerning the use of the "NutrInform Battery" nutritional logo is established by the Decree-Law of 19 November 2020, in compliance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 October 2011 on the provision of food information to consumers. The voluntary participation of companies in the use of this logo must be communicated to the Ministry of Health.
