13/10/2015: Update of the ministerial guidelines for the accreditation of Business Agencies and of the agreement adopted by the Unified Conference on 11 April 2013

Update of the guidelines for the ministerial accreditation of Business Agencies and of the 11 April 2013 agreement on the criteria to be applied for accreditation procedures.

On 15 September 2012, the International Standard ISO/IEC 17065:2012 “Conformity assessment — Requirements for bodies certifying products, processes and services” was published. It applies to bodies that certify products, processes, and services. ISO/IEC 17065:2012 replaces UNI CEI EN 45011:1999, which was simultaneously withdrawn but remains valid during the transition period.

The IAF (International Accreditation Forum) established a 36-month transition period starting from 15 September 2012, the publication date of ISO/IEC 17065. Therefore, by 15 September 2015, all accreditation certificates issued under UNI CEI EN 45011:1999 must be adapted to the new standard. Starting from 15 September 2014, Accredia will issue new accreditations exclusively under ISO/IEC 17065:2012.

In light of the above, the following documents are attached:

  • a notice;
  • the new version of the Guidelines for ministerial accreditation for carrying out the activities of Business Agencies pursuant to DPR 9 July 2010, No. 159, Rev. 25 March 2013, containing indications and clarifications on the requirements and conditions necessary for obtaining accreditation;
  • the new version of the Agreement, pursuant to Article 8, paragraph 6, of Law 5 June 2003, No. 131, on the criteria to be applied for the accreditation procedures of Business Agencies, in implementation of Presidential Decree 9 July 2010, No. 159, adopted by the Unified Conference on 11 April 2013 and published in the Official Gazette on 22 May 2013, No. 118.
