Exchange of information with Business Register
In the SUAP reform legislation, and in the subsequent Law Decree No. 70 of 13 May 2011, converted into Law No. 106 of 12 July 2011, the need is reiterated for the Public Administration to find, internally, all the information on citizens and businesses gathered within the scope of the various administrative procedures, without having to ask users for it again.
A constant information circularity must therefore be ensured between the the Business Register/REA (Register of Economic and Administrative Information), managed by the Chambers of Commerce, which publishes all the personal, corporate and historical data of Italian companies, and the archives of the One-Stop Shops for Productive Activities, which instead handle all the information relating to authorisations to start up and engage in economic activities.
The information exchange between SUAP and the Business Register can be carried out through the use of application cooperation functions (these are set out in Art. 11 of the technical annex to the SUAP regulation), as specified in the technical rules, or through a web service of this portal, which allows the SUAP to:

The SU.RI service is dedicated to SUAPs that have accredited themselves independently and do not use the procedure management tools made available by the Chambers of Commerce through specific agreemntes.
Access is restricted to the heads of accredited SUAPs offices registered in the register of SUAPs. The official in charge of the SUAP office must have registered via CNS with the "Impresa in un giorno" web portal.

In particular (art. 4, paragraphs 8 and 9 of Presidential Decree 160/2010):
"The connection between the SUAP and the Business Register is made through electronic communication methods [...], making it inadmissible for the SUAP manager to request from the interested business any acts, documentation or data already acquired by the Business Register [...] and ensures the updating of the register of economic and administrative information (REA) with details related to the issuance of SCIA, notifications or other forms of approval issued by the SUAP."
