POSTED WORKERS: COUNCIL AND PARLIAMENT AGREE ON DIGITAL DECLARATION SYSTEM
The Council and the European Parliament have reached a provisional agreement to facilitate the electronic declaration of posted workers.
The provisional agreement must now be approved and formally adopted by both institutions. Therefore, the new system is not yet operational, but is expected to become so soon. The regulation will reduce the administrative burden on companies by fully digitising the submission of posting declarations, while making it easier for national authorities to monitor compliance with the rules on the posting of workers. The main benefits introduced by the platform for businesses will be: reduced bureaucracy and lower costs; greater oversight by Member States; enhanced protection of workers' rights.
